The author served in special operations and intelligence assignments in the US Air
Force and Air Force Reserve for 27 years (including service in the first Gulf War)
before retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. He recently also retired after 20
years service in the intelligence directorate of the US Joint Staff, as a senior
Middle East analyst. He has written rules for medieval gaming and WWII air,
sea, and land combat games.
The distaff side of Mediaeval Miscellanea has published a series of historical
costume patterns since 1982 as well as sundry other items of Medieval/Renaissance
interest.
